End-of-Life Doula Free 30 min Consultation

What is an end-of-life doula? non-medical, emotional, physical and spiritual support to a person with a terminal diagnosis and support to their chosen family. We are supplemental to hospice as they are often limited in the time they can spend. We offer a customized approach as each journey to the end is as unique as the people traveling there.

Some of the offerings include:

  • Respite for chosen family to take a break. We cannot cover a shift where medication is due since we cannot provide medical assistance. We also cannot do hands-on caregiving tasks such as toileting or positioning in bed

  • Light massage, singing and music, meditation exercises and holding space for them to talk about their dying experience. We offer a supportive, listening ear free of judgement.

  • Help with legacy work, such as writing a letter, taking video or pictures, recording special memories, making a collage or picture book, doing an art project, and more

  • Managing visitors, food donations, and other help from neighbors, friends and family. Helping assign tasks to those who want to help

  • Running errands for the chosen family so they can spend precious time with their loved one

  • We are not covered by Medicare nor insurance at this time, so it is private pay. Rates are $65/hour for in person doula work for a 3-hour minimum (Whatcom and Skagit County). Some consulting and management can be done remotely for a lower rate of $40/hour. I offer a sliding scale if needed

  • If it’s decided to go ahead with additional services, a contract will be sent to review and sign and payment will be due at that time

    We also offer “Lasting Meals” which is a catered meal for you and your chosen guests. Please inquire for more details if interested. Rates start at $35/person (includes the time in cooking a 3-course meal & clean up) for a minimum of 6 people. Can be customized for vegan, gluten-free and other dietary restrictions. Current Food Handlers permit and excellent, well-rounded cook. Groceries are purchased separately from this fee

Done in 1 is a unique Advance Healthcare Directive for anyone 18-102 years of age, that we do together in about 1 hour! We provide the document, education in end-of-life terms and planning, accountability to get this checked off your list, and follow through with next steps for making it legal and accessible to your healthcare team in case of the worst-case scenario- you no longer can make your own healthcare decisions and need someone to act on your behalf.

For only $99, you’ll get to keep this document for life to make any changes in the future. Add another person at the same time for $50 more (separate purchase of “Done in 1 Plus.”)

Education and Filling out of the directive is done by Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or we can make arrangements for in person locally (Whatcom & Skagit Counties). You do not need to be tech-savvy nor have special software.

The first person/purchaser will receive a form asking them to give us 2-3 dates/times preferences, and you will need to coordinate that with them and they will fill out just the one form for the both of you. This discounted session is at the same time as Person #1’s session.

  • We are a certified professional organizer through the Institute for Challenging Disorganization and specialize in working with seniors, transitions, small projects all the way to hoarding situations, complete clean outs after the death of a loved one and working with folks affected by mental health and dementia.

  • Assistance with downsizing and providing resources if moving is required, including information on local Assisted Living or other appropriate housing options.

  • A customized package depending on your goals and budget. We can come for a singular visit, weekly or monthly visits or anything in between.

  • In person decluttering OR online/virtual through “body doubling” or a hybrid. Virtual sessions will be less expensive than in person. An example of hybrid is that we start in person together and then do some sessions virtually to keep you on track but at a cheaper rate.

  • We provide instructions, tips, accountability, and compassion in working with you and your valued possessions.

  • Base price is $65/hour for a minimum in person session of 4 hours at a time in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Online is $40/hr, minimum 2 hours per session. We draw up a Service Agreement with specific hours/rates before starting.

  • This package includes a free consultation, 4 hours of in person downsizing & or decluttering services (Whatcom or Skagit County), and Lighten Up! Guide ($15 value) for use in decluttering your entire home, car, and includes general decluttering and quick reset of your home tips.You will review and sign a Service Agreement before services begin.

  • In the free consultation or at the first session, we can discuss additional hours to work out more hours if needed.
